Front Desk Responsibilities:

• Greet patients
• Check patients in and out
• Manage payment collections - products, medical and other services
• Collect copayments
• Manage end of day balance reports
• Answer phones
• Schedule patients
• Confirm patient appointments
• Understanding of medical insurance
• Manage prior authorizations, patient triage
• Manage physician’s schedule
• Maintaining records
• Filing

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist provider in the room during patient visits and procedures when needed
• Record patient intake forms, perform vitals, scan documents, chief complaint, update EMR
• Weekly inventory
• Stock rooms
• Clean and run autoclave for instrument sterilization
• Cleaning rooms between patient visits, beginning/end of day
• Light cleaning of the office several days a week
• Provide educational materials to patients
• Assist with DME and fitting
• Assist with treatments such as MLS Laser Therapy and PRP Preparation

Must be interested in clinical work and be able to tolerate blood, bodily fluids, wounds, etc

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Medical Assistant preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Preferences:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Good verbal and written communication
• 1-2 years experience in a podiatry, or medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical software
• Computer Proficiency skills
• Multi-Task
• Be able to lift 25-50 lbs
