The night shift Department Leader will oversee 10-20 employees, ensure production goals are met, critical parts are inspected properly, and resolve any equipment issues that arise during 2nd shift. Must have 5-10 years of Twin Spindle Lathe and Mill programming, 1st piece set up, and troubleshooting experience. Using FANUC controls.

Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications

- Troubleshoot and address machine issues to ensure equipment uptime goals.

-Able to alter and update programs as required

-Serve as lead trainer on 2nd shift for all staff.

-Ensure smooth transition between 1st and 2nd shift Operators.

-Ensure all Operators meet production goals and prescribed by OEE program.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain product quality
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Proficient in operating CNC machines and related equipment

- 2-3 years experience with FANUC Controls
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments
- Experience with machining cast iron
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
