Reports to: Content Director

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Job

offbrand games is a new division of offbrand that strives to forge exceptional relationships with amazing game developers creating the next generation of indie games. Developers are creators too, we put them first, and we are looking for people who can excel in a creative and collaborative environment.

The Video Editor at offbrand Games is a key role responsible for providing strategy and execution for all video content produced in service of promoting our titles. They will coordinate with the entire Games division to create exceptional video content for our games. 

As Video Editor, you will work closely with our partnered development teams, ensuring a genuine voice that captures the essence of each project. The ideal candidate will lead development and execution of exceptional short-form video content for games offbrand publishes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and produce exceptional video content for offbrand games, including social media content, short-form video, trailers, and development diaries.
  • Collaborate with game developers to craft messaging true to their spirit and their game’s essence.
  • Develop processes for recording or gathering in-development gameplay footage from game developers.
  • Drive growth of offbrand games and partnered game developer accounts
  • Keep abreast of video content trends, community sentiment, and analytics produced by the offbrand marketing team and use them to help guide our strategy.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
  • Be a dope, chill, and swag human.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with game capture
  • Proven work experience and portfolio as a video producer & editor
  • Excellent instincts for timing, motivation, & continuity
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D, & compositing
  • Creative mind & storytelling skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (bias towards action)
  • Relentless thirst for knowledge & growth
  • Extensive experience with digital technology and editing software (e.g. Premiere, LightWorks, Cinema4D, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, etc)
  • Ability to handle entire projects while meeting Development / Delivery expectations

Bonus Points

  • Modern game engine capture experience (Unreal Engine, Unity, Source 2, etc)
  • Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field
  • Experience within gaming, film, and/or entertainment
  • Experience with Monday.com, Slack, Discord, and/or Google Suite (Gmail / Sheets / Docs)
