The ODP Corporation is Hiring a Full Time Delivery Driver M-F Near Anchorage, AK
The essential functions of this position may require you to consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicle, delivering merchandise to customers in timely manner. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local traffic laws.
- Loading and Unloading packages and merchandise from company vehicle.
- Other Duties as assigned by the General Manager.
- Provide customers with assistance to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure daily manifests are properly organized for deliveries and reconciles with management at the end of the day.
- Perform daily check of vehicles to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Depending on business needs, this person may have complete ownership of a customer’s delivery to include picking the order, making the delivery, and reconciling with management.
- High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field
- Minimum 5 years of personal driving experience; plus minimum 2 years of driving experience making commercial deliveries.
- Valid driver’s license and no moving violations in the past three years in accordance with Office Depot policies.
- English
- Ability to perform basic computer data entry functions
- Successful completion of Office Depot in-house certification program
- Ability to perform physical delivery functions, including bending and frequent lifting of 50 to 75 lb. is required.
- Driving in downtown areas in high volumes of traffic.
- Driving in adverse weather conditions, i.e.: rain, snow etc.
- Climbing stairs while carrying boxes
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess superior interpersonal skills necessary to support outstanding customer service.
- Must possess the ability to understand and implement detailed verbal and/or written instructions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to perform physical delivery functions, including bending and frequent lifting of 50 to 75 lb. is required.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions is required.
