Officina [oh · fee · she · nah], or “workshop,” is an Italian-inspired culinary collective from Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin-star Masseria. Officina is the realization of Chef Stefanelli's career-long dream to bring the very best of Italian gastronomy together under one roof.

Our flagship is a three-story space home to an all-day cafe, highly-curated marketplace featuring sought-after ingredients and prepared specialty items, a casual trattoria rooted in classic Italian cuisine, rare Amaro Library, versatile private event spaces, and year-round rooftop. 

In terms of both cuisine and service, our standards are high – and so are those of our guests. 

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has experience in hospitality and has a great understanding of bar operations and safety and sanitation standards. The primary function of this position is to recruit, train, and potentially work with the F&B director to create a beverage program/menu. Organization, communication, and leadership skills are essential for this position.

Requirements: 

• Bartender’s license

• Associates degree or higher in hospitality or related field

• Extensive knowledge and experience in a bar or restaurant environment

• Management experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid ABRA/TIPS

• Familiarity with management software like Resy/Tock, POS systems, Bevager 

What we expect from you:

Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintain inventory 

• Order or notify other management team members to fulfill orders in a timely manner

• Ensure bar is well stocked and clean at all times

• Oversee P&L 

• Hire and train staff to ensure consistency with brand standards

• Maintain budget while ordering without sacrificing quality of products/ingredients

• Manage bar team scheduling as needed

• Delegate to staff but facilitate and cultivate an inclusive and respectful work environment for staff and guests 

• Investigate and resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner 

• Maintain good relationships with guests and regular guests in order to build a guest relations rapport 

• Ensure proper policies and protocols during and after operations

• Ensure safety and sanitation standards 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time 

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
