Qualifications:

  • Education: 2-year degree

  • Experience: Required 2 years

  • Additional requirements / comments / education / experience / skills, registration or certification:

    • Current RN license in the state of practice.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

Supervision and Staff Management:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to nursing staff.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to nursing personnel based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing personnel.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Clinical Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor patient care activities to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical procedures, policies, and best practices.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and quality issues.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventative measures as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
