Ohio Department of Natural Resources is Hiring an Administrative Professional 2 - 20101784 Near Athens, OH

ODNR owns and manages state parks, state forests, state nature preserves and wildlife areas. We license all hunting, fishing and watercraft; oversee and permit all mineral extraction, monitor dam safety, manage water resources and serve as the second largest Law Enforcement presence in the State of Ohio.
We are accepting applications for a part-time permanent Administrative Professional 2 position within the Division of Forestry, headquartered in Athens County. The address is 360 E. State Street, Athens, OH 45701. This position is budgeted for 1800 hours/fiscal year and has an anticipated work schedule of M-F, days/hours subject to change. What You Will Do…
    • Relieve Urban Forestry staff of routine administrative duties.
    • Perform routine administrative duties related to urban forestry subgrants (e.g., research & analyze materials & information; process, document, and track compliance for urban forestry subgrants; oversees in the appropriate system; makes recommendations; develops new procedures, as needed).
    • Assist in the management of fiscal responsibilities as delegated, encompassing but not limited to the tracking of timber revenue, inventory, and fleet.
    • Meticulously proofread, edit, and finalize documents to ensure precision in content, grammar, format, spelling, and style.
    • Compile data and produce various documents, including letters, memos, contracts, and reports for forestry program staff.
    • Coordinate office coverage, conference rooms, and conference calls.
    • Facilitate responses to forestry facility housekeeping and maintenance issues, ensuring the office environment is well-maintained.
    • Starting hourly pay of $20.92/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $25.45/hr.
