What We NeedOhio EPA Administrative Officer
What We DoAt the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, our primary goal is to protect the environment and public health. We do this by ensuring compliance with federal and state environmental laws.
What We Need YOU To DoThe Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest administrative officer in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our Central Office in downtown Columbus.
Check this out.You will plan and administer the DAPC’s Business Operations Support Section (BOSS) issuance procedures for the Director’s actions, including permitting, licensing, and certification programs. You’ll direct the administrative processing of permits and the flow of data of both hard copy and electronic forms into the DAPC permitting program (STARS2) and the Asbestos certification and licensing program. You’ll also prepare, review, generate, and distribute applications to the regulated community who are required to obtain an asbestos license or certification from Ohio EPA.
Additionally, you’ll issue licenses and certifications to regulated entities, as well as administering the reconciliation of the Core Data System database for all DAPC customers. You’ll act as revenue liaison and monitor division fees to assure accurate and timely submission of fees payable to Ohio EPA and monitor compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. You’ll be supervising the Business Operations and Support Section, organizing, and coordinating program activities of assigned staff.
You’ll administer and supervise the processing of the Director’s draft and final actions, as well as serving as a back-up to the liaison to the Office of Information Technology Services to develop and maintain the division's electronic administrative processing systems.
