Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is Hiring a Remote Physician Recruiter- Emergency Medicine

Overview

We are currently seeking a Physician Recruiter to join our team. While this is majority a remote position, the candidate must be available to attend meetings or do other tasks in person, as needed. 

The physician recruiter will have primary responsibility for the screening, interviewing, and hiring of physician and advanced practice providers for our Community Health Partners group. Affiliated with Ohio State University Physicians, Community Health Partners, provides physician and advanced practice provider staffing for community-based emergency departments, urgent care, and inpatient hospitalist services throughout Ohio.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the Full Cycle Recruitment Process, including job postings, phone screenings, resume screening, coordinating interviews, and facilitating offer letters.
    • Utilize job boards for external advertising and digital and social media sites for recruitment.
    • Build and identify networks through industry groups and contacts, association memberships and current employees to identify qualified candidates and expand our talent pools.
    • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System and complete data entry related to recruiting activities, job postings and hiring.
    • Maintain recruitment metrics for open and filled positions.
    • Recommend process improvements for improving data quality and process efficiencies to improve recruiting, selection, orientation, and retention of talent.
    • Make recommendations to CHP Administration team on interview process and candidate selection. Recommend solutions for overcoming recruiting issues and market challenges.
    • Collaborate with the CHP Administration team during the offer process, related to salary ranges, incentives, start dates, orientation and other details.
    • Conduct regular follow-up with the CHP Administration team to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans, sourcing techniques, time to fill metrics and quality of hire.
    • Maintain relationships with candidates and community through networking, job boards, vocational schools, and career fairs.
    • Provide regular recruitment updates and feedback to CHP Administration.
    • Ensure any and all recruiting activities align with all state and federal regulations.
    • Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with coworkers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.
    • Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems.
    • Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist physician recruiting role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Practical knowledge of general HR principles and employment law. 
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, and ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization with poise, tact and diplomacy. 
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel). 
  • Ability to provide continual attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience working with digital and social media recruitment.
