About Our TeamWithin CNS(Communication, Navigation, Surveillance) is the Center of Excellence(COE) that is responsible for the innovation, development, certification anddesign maintenance of electronic Aerospace products related to communication, radio navigation andsafe aircraft operation. TheNavigational Radios - Radar Altimeters is an engineeringgroup within the CNS organization in which this Project Engineer role isIncluded - with products spread across both commercial and militarydomains. While part of a large company and diverse organization, the NavRadio-Radar Altimeter group operates very much like a small business in many ways. As an Advanced Project Engineer - Our key contributors wear multiple "hats" dependent upon the program scope and timeline. Withrespect to Project Engineers (PE), our expectation on medium to smallerprograms is for the PE to operate as both PE and SE (System Engineer) -managing the cost/schedule of the program along with driving technicaldiscussions and stepping in and executing work where needed - such as draftingtechnical presentations or data items and maybe even running a test or two inthe lab as required. Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be part of a team that is fully integrated in every aspect of a product's life cycle - from working with a customer on a concept and subsequent proposal, through development, verification, production, and even obsolescence refreshes
Serve as the technical point of contact for customersand the program manager
Prepare schedules andresource forecasting
Participate inproposals and cost estimation
Provide projectoversight of day to day activities to achieve on time and on budgetexecution
Oversightof risk management process and baseline change processes
Drive the EVM (EarnedValue Management) process and effective management operating process (MOS).
"Jump in" and supporttechnical team as needed with small/medium programs
U.s. Person RequirementsDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Experience in project engineering, project management, and/or team leadership

Familiaritywith Electronics and RF disciplines is of value.
Experience in Avionics, Aerospace, Electronics or related industries is of value.
Ability to lead teamsto fast, practical solutions using RCCA processes
Ability to scope,estimate, & plan activities or "projects", including resource allocations
Ability to driveactivity execution & report appropriate status to stakeholders
Ability to bridgeacross functions & organization levels
Hasexcellent leadership, interpersonal,& communication skills
Has strong bias foraction, willing to dig into problems, & fill white space
