We are seeking a Financial Controller Energy. This hybrid position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office.About UsAtkinsRéalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. How will you contribute to the team?
  • Manages and oversees accounting and financial operations.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial information.
  • Reviews and approves system entries and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Manages various audits occurring throughout the year.
  • Manages company budgeting/forecasting processes including long range plans.
  • Assists with the company's business intelligence and financial analysis initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control environment.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors and regularly updates accounting policies and procedures, assuring compliance with corporate requirements.
  • Provides direction and guidance to staff on most accounting matters.
  • Follows organizational policies and procedures and ensures staff compliance.
  • Manages staff selection, development and retention. Establishes and monitors work goals and objectives. Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting/Finance related discipline.
  • A Master's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of accounting experience with 5-10 years of management experience.
  • Detailed understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP and IFRS).
  • Broad understanding of tax and compliance matters.
  • Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable in interacting with operational and financial staff and management at all levels of seniority.
  • Strong management skills to effectively oversee multiple teams, including coaching and mentoring managers and staff.
  • Strong time management skills to effectively manage workload and deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office products, particularly with Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail; documentation; organization.
  • Experience with government contracts.
  • Costpoint, Oracle experience a plus.
  • Prior public accounting experience desired.
  • Certification such as CPA or (CMA) preferred.
  • Must be a U.S citizen in order to be considered.
