Responsibilities May Include
- Supervising a team of Maintenance Pipeliners who are located remotely (i.e. some distance from the Supervisor's primary location) and whose responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing major maintenance, integrity, and capital projects. Providing safety oversight for maintenance and construction work.
- Providing oversight for maintenance contractor performance and selection. Mentoring and coaching maintenance personnel and contractors.
- Assisting with management of encroachments and ROW issues.
- Providing expert construction and maintenance experience to drive efficient field execution.
- Providing construction, pipeline and terminal maintenance, and contractor management expertise to support the Maintenance team as well as Engineering, Operations personnel within the Region.
- Working with Engineering Services, Asset Integrity, and other Maintenance Supervisors to ensure related standards, policies, and procedures are fit for purpose and cost-effective.
- Working with Asset Integrity to develop, track, and control the Region's pipeline dig program budget.
- Coordinating with Engineering, Operations, the Planner/Scheduler, and other maintenance disciplines to ensure the Maintenance Pipeliners are effectively assigned to projects and time off, overtime, and call- outs are managed effectively.
- Coordinating with the Planner/Scheduler to ensure the Region Maintenance Schedule is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Coordinating with Operations to plan and schedule maintenance and project work to minimize the impact to Pipeline and Terminal and Plant Operations and ensuring the Maintenance team does the same at the individual project level.
- Ensuring the Maintenance team execute work according to applicable regulations, standards, policies, and procedures and in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Ensuring the Maintenance team properly documents all project work.
- Working with the Region Engineering and Maintenance team to implement tools, processes, and new technologies.
- Works with Operations, Engineering, Health and Safety, and Environmental Compliance and Permitting on design reviews, preconstruction items, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) to ensure facilities are constructed and operated per permit requirements.
- Recommending training and development classes for the Maintenance team and other personnel and ensuring the Maintenance Pipeliners complete required training.
- Ensuring incidents and near misses are appropriately investigated, helping lead investigations where applicable, and ensuring resulting action items are implemented.
- Providing constructability guidance during project development and design.
- Evaluating material and service providers to ensure they provide professional quality services. Supporting related inspections, audits, and Emergency Response activities.
- Supporting related inspections, audits, and Emergency Response activities
- Works directly with our Integrated Collaboration Center (ICC)/Bartlesville Control Center (BCC) to ensure maximum optimization, performance, and cost saving opportunities.
- Coordinates with Commercial and Engineering teams providing input and ideas on projects related to Overhauls, swings and maintenance activities and ongoing expansion projects.
- Demonstrates sound judgment in relationships with employees, contractors, landowners, and customers; models and always promotes a culture of safety and compliance.
- Working with ICS structure, emergency response, spill response activities, serve as Incident Commander and other ICS positions.
- Maintain working relationship with multiple LEPC's, Local Emergency Response organizations, serve as QI/IC for area of responsibility.
- Assist with and ensuring proper OQ's are obtained for Maintenance team and applicable contractors. Possess or be able to obtain OQ's critical for execution of pipeline maintenance activities.
- Works with Scheduling, Pipeline Control, and other support groups to provide a superior level of service to each of our customers.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 7 or more years of experience in Midstream Operations
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of these areas is required: Experience operating Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) pipelines and pumps; experience with gas gathering and compression.
- 5 years field maintenance and/or construction.
- Direct field experience managing industrial maintenance and constructions projects.
- Contractor supervisory experience.
- Demonstrate advanced leadership, communications, and technical skills.
- High mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pipeline and terminal equipment.
- Expert knowledge in industry safe work practices, excavation and construction policies and procedures, hazardous area classifications, and pipeline regulations.
- Computer proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) including applications for word processing and spreadsheets.
- Strong planning, scheduling, organization, and administrative skills.
- Able to interpret, apply and teach operating, maintenance, and regulatory procedures.
- Able to manage competing priorities.
- Able to guide others through troubleshooting and other activities from a remote location. Willing and able to travel 50%.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree 10 years related experience
- Direct employee supervisory experience5 or more years of experience supervising employees and contractors
- Direct experience with the Plant Maintenance module of SAP
- Certifications: API, CWI, NACE, TES, Safety
