Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversityAs a Quality Assurance Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the Honeywell Building Automation (BA) organization. You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, including cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and comprehensive project documentation. Additionally, you'll address commercial management challenges such as delays, compression, acceleration, and other potential issues, including subpar performance and quality by others. You will ensure that projects are completed within budget and meet the required quality standards. Join us as a Quality Assurance Manager and contribute to the success of our BA organization.
You will report directly to our Sr. Regional Business Manager and you'll work out of our Altamonte Springs, FL location on a hybrid work schedule. Up to 25% travel is to be expected in the central/western Florida region.
In this role, you will impact the financial performance of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and solutions to Delivery teams on cost-related matters, including reviewing cost plans, formulating budgets, change variations, and evaluating claims.
  • Act as a Quantity Surveying specialist for the Delivery teams, overseeing cost planning, estimating, and research throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate the performance of service providers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective outcomes and foster a culture of teamwork.
  • Monitor, research, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and procedures to promote continuous improvement.
  • Conduct cost planning audits and advise on different approaches to managing cost risks across projects.
  • Collaborate with internal Honeywell commercial management and legal team for escalations of unresolvable commercial management issues.

  • Provide expert cost management and control services across complex projects/programs, raising standards and driving improvements in cost management processes.
  • Develop and implement realistic and sustainable project-specific cost control plans, ensuring alignment with business rules and standards.
  • Provide expert advice on contractor engagement, contract management, variations, claims, and invoice disputes.
  • Identify and resolve current and emerging issues to improve the quality and efficacy of cost control.
  • Achieve 100% compliance on all contractual deliverables and maintain high professional standards in a complex regulatory environment.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control processes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
