Design solutions to drive safe living and quality of lifeSr Advanced AI EngineerAs a Sr Advanced AI Engineer here at Honeywell, you will work with a multi-disciplined team of experts on pathfinding technology implementations for next generation products utilizing. This specific role will be focused on development of computer vision, artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy technologies for autonomous aerial vehicle platforms. Your contributions will play a central role in the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI solutions, contributing to Honeywell's commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology.
You will report directly to our manager of autonomy, computer vision and AI research group and you'll work out of our Plymouth, MN location on a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting research, development and demonstration of AI, computer vision and autonomy technologies
- You will be responsible for developing new concepts and technologies, and showing that they work
- Help drive growth as a technology expert through interfaces with internal and external customers and partners
- Lead and drive technology development programs
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities that require quick adaptation
YOU MUST HAVE
- Master's Degree or PhD from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as robotics, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- 4 years relevant experience in applying AI and computer vision technologies to aerospace applications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
- Experience with different sensors for autonomous systems such as: Cameras (elecro-optical, infrared), IMU, GPS, LIDAR
- Ability to solve complex problems through analysis and innovation
- Drive and motivation for career development
- Team player who can also be independent
- Open to taking on challenges
- Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work directly with sponsors and customers
- Creativity, technical curiosity, and breadth of knowledge in computer vision and AI
