Oiles America Corporation is Hiring a 2nd shift Utility Operator Near Concord, NC

Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking a Utility Operator between the hours 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM for our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining injection mold equipment and processes to produce a first-time quality part. Will assist with die changes as scheduled and provide support to production processes in the molding department. Are you the one we are looking for?
Qualification Requirements
  • High School or GED required
  • Formal/continuing education in IM processing preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable in the use of measuring devices (basic metrology)
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, gauges, etc.
  • Basic quality/inspection skills
  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication to accomplish responsibilities and tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to understand and follow written procedures and processes
Essential Functions
  • Inspect parts, bag and pack per Standards
  • Before bagging any parts pull a shot and inspect for quality. Place in blue cup and
  • Record time on Quality Tracking Sheet.
  • Notify Supervisor, Team Leader or Process Tech of any quality issues
  • Complete all required paperwork
  • Conduct Changeover Responsibilities as indicated on INJFM-19
  • Move production components within the department
  • Perform in-machine mold cleaning as necessary
  • Answer machine alarms and resolve when possible
  • Support process technician as a team member to ensure quality products are produced as scheduled
  • Perform department 6S requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Will assist in making sample parts
  • Create work orders for die repair
  • Mix material when needed
  • Perform start up and shut down of injection molding machines as necessary
  • Conduct a thorough line clear
  • Enter production, scrap, run time and downtime at the end of shift into the production app
Physical Requirements
  • Position requires walking, standing, sitting, bending and/or reaching
  • Position requires lifting of up to 50 lb. several times per day
  • Ability to stand and walk for an 8 - 12-hour shift
  • Ability to safely climb and descend a ladder
  • Ability to effectively hold and utilize small hand tools
