As part of our Production & Engineering team, a General Maintenance & Facilities Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that our farms are built to standard and our buildings are safe, clean and organized so that we sustain a positive work environment for all of our employees. Our team members perform general maintenance or assembly of equipment and farm infrastructure including basic installation and work with materials to build framework for our farms. We are seeking a part-time General Maintenance & Facilities Associate to join our Oishii team!

What you’ll be responsible for: 

• Assemble farm system components and in the installation of those components 
• Participate in retrofits to existing facility
• Ability to follow specific instructions and clear directions in written, verbal, and/or visual form
• Operate and maintain a range of hand and power tools
• Clear debris
• Set up equipment
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, installing equipment or structures like doors and other building fixtures
• Work collaboratively with various teams across the facility to meet project deadlines and safety standards
• Follow established procedures to ensure a safe and clean worksite
• Parking lot & grounds maintenance as needed
• Ensure all trash receptacles are cleaned as needed
• Support facility commissioning with any additional labor needs
• Participate on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without a team lift or a mechanical lift

• Ability to crouch or kneel
• Ability to reach and stretch
• Comfortable in an active non sedentary role for lengths of up to 5 to 6 hours at a time
• MUST NOT be allergic to bees

What We Look for in a Maintenance/Facilities Associate:

• Ability to work one of the following schedules:
  • Monday-Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00am - 6:30pm
  • Monday-Wednesday, 9:00am - 6:30pm
  • Wednesday-Friday, 9:00am - 6:30pm
• HS Diploma or GED. 
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.
• Familiarity with Google suite including email, and google sheets.
