Summary:
The Okeanus Project Manager will use theoretical and practical knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology to complete projects successfully. Use of Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, Enterprise Resource Planning software, and other Project Management tools to communicate and coordinate project tasks.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
· Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
· Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
· Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
· Measuring and reporting program performance
· Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
· Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
· Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
· Controlling project documents in accordance with the Quality Management System
· Researching information as required
· Performing administrative tasks such as preparing purchase requisitions, scheduling meetings, and keeping meeting minutes
· Communicating with stakeholders regarding project needs and goals
· Organize project information for data archiving
· Preparing necessary presentation materials for customers, executive management, and other project stakeholders.
· Participate in the design of project management processes and budget planning
· Conduct assessments to identify and seek solutions to project problems to reduce downtime
· Build and maintain good working relationships with clients to ensure complete customer satisfaction and good prospects for future business
· Coordinate and ensure smooth operation of multiple projects from start to finish
· Maintain contact with clients through phone calls, emails, or text messaging
· Prepare and present to the manager weekly or monthly reports of project operations
· Collect and analyze data to help meet and exceed set project objectives
· Ensure changes in the project are captured and communicated to team members and stakeholders
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of relevant project management experience.
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning software
· Requires the ability to work in a dynamic high pace environment where products are often developed quickly.
· Excellent interpersonal, influencing, leadership, verbal and written communication skills required.
· Experience using Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of design/build processes.
· Excellent project management, communication and teamwork skills required.
· Experience in marine / industrial manufacturing environment preferred
· Experience supporting government contracts and/or defense contractors highly desired.
· Ability to obtain US Government security clearance (US Citizenship is a pre-requisite).
