Frank Beverage Group in Fennimore, WI is now hiring a Category Specialist. This position is responsible for evaluating new and current shelf sets for opportunities that will drive sales for our customers and ultimately for Frank Beer Distributors. This person will also aid the Brand Management team in achieving shelf-set goals as set by our suppliers. Lastly, this position is key in the organization and completion of corporate-mandated activity. Responsibilities
Develop store shelf sets using Space Planning Plus software
Lead and install resets at store level in a timely and professional manner
Analyze selection assortment and make recommendations to drive business
Recognize space opportunity and distribution opportunity
Secure and manage space management relationships with customers
Assist in creating space planning maps to understand overall store layouts, category placement, and total unit capacity
Support management to secure shelf sets and determine shelf stock quantities
Scan store inventory to aid in development of planograms
Timely execution to meet calendar deadlines
Assist sales team and sales managers with day to day activities when needed
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as persuasion skills
Ability to read and write in English
Goal oriented, focused, and assertive
Knowledge of liquor industry and its retail consumers is preferred
Intermediate computer skills are required (Microsoft Office)
Reliable car and ability to travel
Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance is required
Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor sales persons permit
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
One or two years of related industry experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 40 lbs. repetitively; 160 lbs. occasionally
Ability to push and pull a handcart weighing up to 250 lbs.
Ability to stand, reach, bend, walk, stoop, squat, kneel and crouch
