Please note: Pay range will be discussed at interview.Location: Willis, Texas. FulltimeSummaryThe Pump Shop Field Service Technician is responsible for performing hands on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work for various pump operations. The Pump Shop Field Technician is also responsible for using materials that are in compliance with all company safety standards.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe following list includes essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Perform all activities in accordance with all policies, principles, and procedures established by Department, Division and Weisinger Inc. Management and Board of Directors.
  • Troubleshoot rotating equipment, control systems and electrical equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with all customers and field personnel.
  • Test pumps and report identified malfunctions to assigned Supervisor.
  • Perform routine safety observations and inspections on equipment.
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may include working in another role or in
  • another department as needed.

Education And/or Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent or applicable experience
  • Three years related experience and/or training.
  • Two years of electrical field training
  • Knowledge of aftermarket parts application is preferred.
  • Electric Motors - Single phase and Three phase power, 2300V – 4160V
  • Motor Controls – Soft Start and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
  • SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition with Motor Controls
  • PLC/Multiline programing in Motor Control Center
  • Troubleshoot electrical power failures.
  • Millwright Skills
  • Pump Mechanical Seal experience
  • Rotating Equipment Installation/Removal Shop and Field
  • Rigging and Crane Experience
  • Power Generation
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMaintain clear driving record.
Valid CDL is preferred.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability
to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsBasic personal computer skills. Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Outlook, Work and Excel)
Specialist EquipmentGTI Predictive Align Pro Laser Alignment, Bump Test Hammer, and Vibration Meter w/ Table.

Physical Demands
