Level I H23A - $37,280.75
Level II H23B - $40,077.79
Level III H23C - $43,968.62
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. State vehicles will be available for use to carry out the duties of the position.Minimum QualificationsChild Welfare Specialist, Level I
Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university
OR 3 years of experience related to child welfare work
OR A combination of education and experience
Child Welfare Specialist, Level II
A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify
OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
Child Welfare Specialist, Level III
A Master's degree
OR a Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
Job Duties
Prepare for, conduct, and document targeted outreach calls to Adoptive families. The Child Welfare Specialist II will document interaction and outcomes, follow up with families who are in need of services, and conduct warm hand-offs to services in the community or to the clinical social workers
Carry a partial caseload of post adoptive cases and conduct annual renewals, process DOC requests and renewals, and provide support and referral assistance to families
Manage and update content for the Post Adoption Services website to include the creation of new content and newsletter page.
Create, implement, and facilitate virtual parent support groups
Create, implement, and facilitate adolescent support groups.
Assist clinical social workers during parent coaching sessions conducted in the home with families.
Manage, create, and organize ongoing virtual webinars (lunch & learns and other types) at least once per month. The Child Welfare Specialist II will develop presentations or facilitate with other speakers across disciplines and create informational flyers to disseminate across the state.
