Social Services Specialist

Annual Salary:

• Level I H20A: $36,811.95 Full State Employee Benefits
• Level II H20B: $39,571.76 Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is extensive. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Social Services Specialist I

• A Bachelor's Degree
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in professional social work for each year of the required education.

Social Services Specialist II

• A Master's degree;
• OR a Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in professional social work;
• OR an equivalent combination of education and social work, substituting one year of professional social work for each year of the required education.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing social services to clients
• Assessing needs and determining eligibility for specific programs and services 
• Managing a caseload requiring both broad and specialized knowledge of all social service programs including maintaining contractual compliance of OKDHS approved specialized foster homes.
• Contact outside public and private health and welfare agencies and community resources to assist in obtaining aid for clients and their families
