This position will assist the Accounting department by verifying figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes. Reconciles daily deposits, daily cash reports and receipts. Posts data to accounting software. Calculates, prepares, and issues bills, invoices, and account statements. Verifies vendor invoices with purchase orders and verifies pricing and extensions against invoices. Handles inquiries and questions from vendors or departments. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
High school diploma, GED, or combination education and 1 year relevant experience.
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and computer (preferably MS Word and Excel or comparable software) skills needed. Must have knowledge of accounting software and extremely high attention to detail. Must have the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines, work independently and as a team player, and demonstrate professionalism with diverse personalities and cultures.
2 years of Accounting experience or experience in a non-profit, health, research, or educational environment strongly preferred.
Typically Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00 pm.
