Job Summary:
Responsible to perform duties related to checking-in/out patients, scheduling patient appointments, call confirmations, verifying insurance while maintaining accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and State/Federal regulations.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, and blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 15 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
-High school diploma/GED
-Six (6) months related job experience in a medical office or equivalent
-Valid Oklahoma Driver License
Skills, Proficiencies andKnowledge:
-Strong Computer Skills (MS Office Suite - specifically with Outlook, Word, Excel)
-Typing and data entry, medical terminology, answer phone, detail-oriented, quality focus
-Ability to prioritize and work within deadlines
-Excellent customer service skills
-Professionalism and interpersonal communication
-Ability to effectively communicate with patients and all medical staff
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and ability to learn new processes
Preferred:
-Some college or technical school in related field or six months
related job experience.
-Experience with EMR system.
