The Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University seeks applications for a Teaching Assistant or Teaching Associate Professor (9-month faculty appointment) and Director of the Psychological Services Center (12-month administrative appointment).
The Director of the Psychological Services Center (PSC) supervises day-to-day operations in the training clinic and supports all its functions, including child and adult assessment cases. They additionally supervise 4-5 students with full caseloads, including PSC Graduate Assistant Directors. The Director serves as the HIPAA compliance officer. The Psychology Service Center and training clinic is open M-F 8:00am-5:00pm during the academic year and in the summer, with some evening hours as needed. The Director will support faculty and student research conducted in the clinic. As a faculty member, the Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor will be responsible for teaching for no more than three classes per academic year (both undergraduate and graduate). They will additionally contribute to the team-taught didactics in PSY 6640 Clinical Practicum. This position is contingent upon available funding.
Required Qualifications: PhD in Psychology and experience teaching at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of teaching experience at the college level; clinical and supervisory experience.
The Department has 25 full-time faculty and offers PhD degrees in experimental psychology and clinical psychology. The experimental program has concentrations in Developmental, Comparative-Neurobiological, Cognitive, and Social-Personality. The clinical program, continuously APA-accredited since 1971, is based on the clinical science model of training and is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. The Department has approximately 60 doctoral students and over 1000 undergraduate majors. The Department has faculty in Tulsa who teach and do research on the OSU-Tulsa campus.
