Secondary Teacher
Old Plank Christian Academy is seeking Secondary teachers (grades 6-12) who are called to serve in Christian education for the 2023-2024 school year. We are a smaller school that is a ministry of Old Plank Road Baptist Church located in Jacksonville, Florida. OPCA is a growing, thriving ministry with a family atmosphere that is looking for teachers to join our qualified team of educators for the 2023-2024 school year.

Qualifications:

• Love for students/children with a genuine and growing Christian testimony
• Classroom teaching skills with middle and/or high school students
• Skilled at written and oral communication with students and adults (parents/colleagues)
• Proficient in Bible knowledge
• Ability to work as a team member with other educators.
• Classroom management skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Job Description:

The teacher will organize and manage a class of approximately 15-24 students. We are looking for teachers who will love students and families, effectively manage student behavior, teach academics strongly with a Biblical world view and cooperate and partner with our ministry to "train up children in the way they should go."
