Experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Addiction Specialist Opportunity Our Federally Qualified Health Center offers a comprehensive range of medical, behavioral health, dental, and support services to patients in Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod. We are currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Addiction Specialist to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate psychiatric services with the Behavioral Health Director and Psychiatrist
Provide direct services to patients with substance abuse disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
Conduct diagnostic medication evaluations and medication management
Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, OBAT Nurses, and Coordinators in patient treatment
Manage medication refills for patients in the practice
Conduct bridge visits for patients awaiting intake and walk-in patients with urgent psychiatric needs
Assist Primary Care and OBAT team with de-escalation when necessary
Complete discharge visits from referring facilities
Engage in regular supervision with Psychiatrist as per PMHNP requirements
Participate in diagnostic formulations and treatment plan development for patients
Take a leadership role in case conferences, in-service training, and provide overviews on medical and psychiatric issues
