O O Hospitality has become one of the St. Louis region’s most beloved restaurant groups, delivering thoughtful food, service, and hospitality in warm, welcoming, energetic dining rooms. Founded by partners Mark Hinkle, Greg Ortyl, and Chef Jesse Mendica Risk, beginning with the opening of their flagship restaurant Olive Oak in 2016, O O Hospitality now operates five concepts in the heart of Webster Groves, Missouri, where all three founders and their families call home.

We set out to create a fun, lively, and approachable restaurant and bar in our own backyard — a friendly, bustling neighborhood spot where the very best in food and drink would be served in a welcoming setting. We are looking at every single detail to make sure that Olive Oak will be the perfect place to enjoy great wine, craft beer, well-made drinks and thoughtful, ingredient driven food with friends and family.

We are currently seeking a Manager for our flagship property, Olive Oak.

This is a full-time position responsible for oversight of all FOH operations in accordance with O O Hospitality’s unparalleled standards. This position will report directly to the Owner/Operating Partner Mark Hinkle.

Our ideal candidate: We are seeking a thoughtful hospitality professional with a passion for guest care, team leadership, continuing and consistent staff education, and mentorship. Attention to detail and a drive towards constant refinement are a must.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 2 years dining room experience in hospitality & fine dining, management experience preferred
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge, advanced wine certification preferred
  • Strong passion for and skill in mentorship and education
  • Excellent verbal & written communication
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn point of sale systems and scheduling portals

Core tasks and key responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor hourly staff
  • Uphold and further our culture of professionalism, dignity, and excellence
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and maintenance of FOH items
  • Enforce a high standard of hospitality and service excellence
  • Responsible for staffing and scheduling FOH team in accordance with labor budget
  • Operate with the highest standards of sanitation and safety
  • Maintain active communication with ownership and management team
  • Must work within, communicate, and hold others accountable to company’s Core Values
  • Maintain and update menus and POS
  • Communicate actively with BOH team to create and maintain a seamless operation
  • Other duties as assigned
