Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Trade Associate position is responsible for compiling amounts owed by the company to vendors, suppliers and individuals. This position is required to process invoices, maintain and process payments and verify various invoices for proper payment. This role is responsible for researching, analyzing and resolving vendor inquiries and disputes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process store receiving and communicate with stores as needed regarding receiving paperwork
• Save vendor invoices to be entered
• Reconcile invoices by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Electronically enter, save, and file invoices appropriately
• Research open RA report
• Maintain accurate accounting files in an organized and accurate manner
• Communicate with supervisors about inaccuracies and balance deficiencies
• Communicate with vendors regarding status of invoice payments
• Analyze, research and resolve payment issues
• Match appropriate vendor invoices with warehouse and/or store receiving documents and original purchase orders.
• Assist pulling and saving sample requests from audits
• Resolve pricing discrepancy issues with our merchandise team
• Monitor Team email inbox
• Balance end of day, run and save reports
• Balance end of month, run and save reports
• Research aged invoice reports
• Research discrepancies between vendor invoices and receiving documents
• Investigate Vendor deduction disputes

• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Distribution or retail industry experience preferred, but not required;
• Intermediate skill level proficiency on Excel, Word and email;
• Ability to work effectively in a professional environment;
• Ability to exercise sound judgment;
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer;
• Duties frequently involve repetitive motions of typing, filling envelopes and filing;
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
