The Orthopaedic Technologist provides patient care in the Orthopaedic Clinic under the direction of the orthopaedic surgeons and APCs to manually reduce fractures; to educate patients; to adjust, apply, and remove casts, braces, dressings, and splints; and to perform office procedures. The technologist may assist with positioning the patient during surgical procedures, and is knowledgeable about instruments, supplies, and equipment used during orthopaedic procedures. The technologist will also participate in employee training and education in all areas of cast application and management as directed by Clinic Manager and/or Clinical Nurse Educator.
