Omega Construction, Inc., a trusted leader in the construction industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage the execution of commerical construction projects including retail, hospitaility, and industrial/distribution. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual passionate about safety, quality, and efficiency in delivering exceptional projects.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, Scheduling, & Job Management
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of retail construction projects on-site, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Liaise with owners, designers, and subcontractors to foster strong relationships and smooth project execution.
- Develop and manage detailed schedules, including 2-4 week look-ahead plans, ensuring adherence to project milestones.
- Implement recovery strategies to maintain schedules when necessary.
- Oversee and resolve subcontractor conflicts, design clarifications, and material delivery challenges.
Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Ensure all required permits, notices, and licenses are secured and displayed appropriately.
- Accurately track and document daily logs, safety records, and as-built drawings.
Safety and Quality Control
- Champion a culture of safety on-site, enforcing compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality and design specifications.
- Mentor junior staff on safety and quality best practices.
Leadership and Communication
- Establish a positive on-site environment with effective and professional communication with all project stakeholders.
- Lead safety and coordination meetings, providing documentation and updates to the project management team.
- Evaluate and train field staff to enhance project performance.
Basic Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically managing retail or similar projects.
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings and using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience overseeing construction projects.
- Familiarity with iPad technology for on-site project management.
- OSHA 30-hour certification (training can be provided).
- CPR/AED certification (training can be provided).
