Position:- IT Release Manager - JP 2488
Location:- San Francisco
Duration:- 12 months

Release Manager - IT Enterprise Application Services (EAS) team will be responsible for planning, coordination and oversight of software releases, patches, and emergency change requests, and will work closely with agile development teams, In addition to managing releases and leading cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will drive definition and evolution of release processes and automation to optimize efficiency and quality while meeting the demands of rapid growth and operational complexity. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and release management experience with Cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
•Minimum 7 years release management experience in a software development environment.
•Drive the on-time and effective delivery of high-quality, enterprise software releases.
•Follow release planning and execution processes and define and manage release schedules and milestones.
•Assemble and lead multiple cross-functional teams to support releases of varying size, complexity and duration.
•Collaborate and manage release processes across all functions within IT and with business stakeholders
•Continuously improve release processes.
•Implement best practices consistent with an agile development methodology.
•Manage change control processes for the release.
•Define and manage release readiness and success criteria based on business requirements.
•Proactively identify and mitigate risks and remove obstacles to release
•Guide the completion of root cause analysis to ensure issues do not recur.
•Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments through ensuring release readiness and adequate deployment runlist handoff to Service Delivery.
•Communicate plans and status, and escalate issues as required.
Required Skills
•Strong project management and process execution
•Familiarity with release management tools and concepts
•Experience working within a framework of corporate risk controls (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley)
•Experience with agile development methodologies and the ITIL framework.
•Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with engineers and executives simultaneously
•Proven leadership capabilities with matrixed teams and ability to drive issues to closure.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•Flexible and able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and fast-paced environment.
•Enterprise software experience.
•Experience with multi-tiered system operations, including web, application and database operational support & services.
•Experience with 24x7 operations and global delivery teams.
•Must work well within a deadline-driven environment.
•Bachelor degree or equivalent.
