Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer (Hybrid - Multiple Locations)

We are looking to hire a candidate with the skill sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the financial industry. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This Hybrid role has multiple locations: Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, or New York, NY.

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

• Design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications, document and test systems, modify as appropriate.
• Provide technical and project leadership and mentoring (for a few senior persons).
• Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
• Build performance-sensitive systems that serve tens of millions of requests each day.

Required Skills/Experience/Education:

• Strong Ruby on Rails.
• Know how to write highly scalable and distributed Ruby on Rails services.
• Knowledge/experience with GitHub.
• Experience with APIs.
• Experience developing mid-tier services in a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience working with Postgres and other relational databases.
• Someone comfortable using Agile development methods.
• Experience with Linux and VIM.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies (Preferred).
• Great communication skills.

• Employment Type: Corp. to Corp. (C2C).
• Contracting Period : 6-month contracting opportunity with the potential for extension.
• Job Location: Hybrid roles with multiple locations: Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, or New York, NY.
• Contract Rate/Salary: $70 on C2C.
• Interview Process: HackerRank Test and 2 rounds of interview.
