Job Description:

We are excited to announce an opening for a dynamic and experienced Business Travel Sales Manager at Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU. Following a recent internal promotion, we are looking for a talented sales professional to join our team and help drive our transient markets. Our state-of-the-art hotel features 330 luxurious guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of versatile event space, and four distinct dining outlets, including a rooftop restaurant with stunning views and the largest ballroom in the region. These amenities make us a premier destination for both business and leisure travelers.

As the Business Travel Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and managing our corporate transient market segments, working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to achieve monthly room night goals. We seek a highly motivated individual who thrives in an upscale hotel environment and is passionate about building relationships with clients, guests, and colleagues to enhance the hotel's performance and reputation.

Responsibilities:
  • Fully develop and manage Corporate Transient market segments (LRA/NLRA, Consortia) and achieve room night and revenue goals for all segments.
  • Emphasize higher rated, less price sensitive business traveling on shoulder days of the week.
  • Maintain weekly telephone and outside solicitation, travel agency presentations.
  • Develop new accounts and maintain growth of existing accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with Omni Hotels & Resorts Global Business Travel Team and responding to all incoming Global team requests.
  • Responsible for completing and implementing all RFPs.
  • Local accounts: responsible for total account management, which includes ensuring local contracts are in place, account management and servicing the needs of these local contacts.
  • Participate in weekly marketing and rooms merchandising meetings, monthly sales meetings, stand up daily and monthly sales meetings as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Responsible for maintaining all Business Travel reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Attend monthly corporate negotiated account conference calls with corporate office.
Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 2 years of hotel sales experience (BT experience preferred).
  • Hospitality degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and researching skills to identify prospective customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize when necessary.
  • Must have experience in 'cold call' solicitation, site inspections/visits with clients, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong customer service and rapport building skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel to represent the Hotel during Trade Shows/Conventions.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
