Omni Hotels & Resorts is Hiring a Lead Massage Therapist Near Oklahoma, OK

Location

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

Job Description

Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a professional Lead Massage Therapist to join the team of this new upscale hotel. This team member's main responsibility is assisting with guests' comfort in a courteous and professional manner while performing all massage services. This role will support and lead the massage staff in onboarding, safety, sanitation, proper technical procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

  • To work as part of the spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.
  • Responsible for setting up the treatment rooms according to procedures and disposing of laundry in a timely basis.
  • Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines.
  • Assist with ensurring all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste.
  • To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are being followed at all times.
  • Strive to consistently encourage upgrades and produce a minimum of 10% in retail sales per day / week/ month.
  • Coordinate and deliver training in massages, all areas of sanitation, product knowledge and general department protocol.
  • Assist in product dispersal and upkeep of product dispensaries.
  • Assists withfeedback to employees on their job performances, quality of work
  • Assist with weekly staffing scheduling.
  • Responsible for the protocol development in the department.
  • Act as a professional role model in the area of hospitality
  • Maintain effective relations with all hotel departments.
  • Responsible for attending all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Responsible for knowing all technical procedures for the department.
  • Assist Spa Director in ensuring all certificates/licenses are current.
  • Responsible for spot checking rooms to ensure treatment rooms are clean and fully stocked. Ensure checklist in rooms are being fulfilled.
  • Maintain positive open communication with staff being receptive to personal feedback from staff and management.
  • Ensure equipment is in safe working order.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in massage therapy in salon or spa.
  • Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient skills in traditional and modern forms of massage.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers.
  • Active therapist license required.
  • Ability to maintain compliance to State Board sanitation/sterilization procedures.
  • Responsible and dependable with ability to fulfill on-call scheduling needs.
  • Commitment to exceeding the expectations of customers, always operating with a strong attention to detail to the client’s needs.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing back-to-back appointments (expect 5 -6 appointments) in a high volume 4 diamond environment.
  • Flexible schedule, weekends, and holidays required—a team player who is flexible for schedule changes due to higher business demands.
  • Follow all aspects of job safety
  • Stand and/or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion, with consistent use of hands and arms.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds with frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting.
