Position: Tender Pricing Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Tender Pricing Strategist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and executing the pricing strategy for RFQs (Request for Quotes) across medium and large accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of complex project quotations and the ability to develop creative solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Guide opportunities through the Request for Information, Request for Proposal processes, evaluating and making recommendations based on complex or unique requests
  • Lead and perform complex analyses to support pricing and estimating, considering risks, financial implications, and competitive landscape
  • Determine database requirements and identify new data sources to enhance pricing accuracy and competitiveness
  • Engage with stakeholders and leadership at all levels during the bidding process to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and objectives
  • Support the development of Pricing Tools to streamline and improve pricing processes
  • Set pricing strategy for all transportation services, ensuring alignment with business goals and market conditions
  • Analyze opportunities to improve margin strategies and overall profitability
  • Guide and collaborate with tender teams globally to optimize pricing and maximize win rates
  • Own and drive rate map strategy and definition, leveraging statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the pricing process
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with global tender processes and international pricing dynamics
  • Proficiency in pricing tools and software, with experience in pricing tool development a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, business development, or technology roles, with a focus on pricing and tender management
  • Proven track record in owning and driving pricing strategies, particularly in BIDs and Tenders for General Cargo, Dangerous Goods, Temperature Control, and Aircraft on Ground services
  • Experience using statistical analysis to inform pricing decisions and identify areas for cost optimization
  • Ability to influence senior leadership through data-driven insights and compelling presentations
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functional teams and with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex pricing concepts and strategies
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and customer needs to develop proactive pricing strategies
