Job Summary:

Operations Manager is responsible for the operations in Blending and Production with the respective managers reporting directly to this position. Establishing standards, holding managers and team members accountable to the standards, advancing continuous improvement and training are core piece of the job responsibility. The Ops Manager will ensure defects such as quality, safety and performance issues are researched, root caused and corrected. Being able to execute on improvements within the department are crucial for operational improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Develop and foster a spirit of continual improvement among Department Managers through use of Lean Practices, use of TWI Training and JR Instruction, Coaching and Development of Continual Improvement Team Leaders, interface with Sales, R&D, Accounting, Purchasing, PPIC and Quality/Engineering
• Provide oversight for continual improvement projects in the areas of cost, productivity and quality

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure training through TWI is conducted as per standard
• Manage routine meetings are established to incorporate operator expertise for gathering best practices and updating TWI and ISO documentation
• Audit for process integrity for TWI training
• Ensure training standards are met
• Acquire team feedback on confidence and skill acquired through training
• Drive Continual Improvement in the Operations space
• Seek out unbalanced operational areas and move to smooth flow
• Maintain ISO Standards
• Provide guidance on adherence to ISO Standard
• Oversee document control
• Manage internal quality audit system
• Oversee all quality processes related to maintenance of ISO Standard
• Participate in Quarterly Management Reviews
• Provide Feedback to Quality Department
• Assess and locate defects generated within Operations and ensure documentation is executed
• Attend weekly meeting with quality and provide findings and corrections
• Create future plan for collaborative quality improvement between departments

• 4-year degree preferred
• 5 – 10 years of blending/packaging experience required

• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
