Position Overview:

The Oracle Cloud Functional Consultant will be responsible for leading the migration of our financial systems from Oracle Cloud to Workday Financials. This role requires a deep understanding of both Oracle Cloud and Workday Financials, as well as extensive experience in financial systems migration, business process re-engineering, and system configuration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive migration strategy, encompassing planning, execution, monitoring, and post-migration support.
• Identify potential risks and create mitigation plans to address data integrity, system compatibility, and business continuity concerns.
• Establish governance structures and project management frameworks to track progress, manage stakeholders, and ensure project objectives are met within the specified timeline and budget.
• Engage with finance, IT, and other key stakeholders to understand current business processes and pain points in Oracle Cloud.
• Document detailed business requirements and functional specifications, ensuring all stakeholders' needs are captured and addressed.
• Translate these requirements into Workday Financials configurations, leveraging Workday’s capabilities to optimize financial processes.
• Conduct a gap analysis between existing Oracle Cloud functionalities and Workday Financials capabilities.
• Create detailed data mapping documents to ensure accurate and complete data transfer from Oracle Cloud to Workday Financials.
• Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Develop and execute test plans, including unit tests, system integration tests, and user acceptance tests, to validate data accuracy and system functionality.
• Facilitate iterative testing cycles to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Design and deliver tailored training programs to equip end-users with the knowledge and skills required to operate Workday Financials effectively.
• Establish a dedicated support team to address post-migration issues and queries from end-users.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular health checks to identify and resolve any potential issues.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on user feedback and system performance metrics to enhance the overall effectiveness of Workday Financials.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Cloud Functional Consultant with a focus on financial systems.
• Proven experience in migrating financial systems from Oracle Cloud to Workday Financials.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and best practices, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in configuring and customizing Oracle Cloud and Workday Financials to meet business requirements.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday Financials certification.
• Experience with data migration tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of business process reengineering and change management.
• Familiarity with integration tools and techniques for connecting Oracle Cloud and Workday Financials with other enterprise systems.
