Description:Transforms a proof-of-concept chemistry/idea into a lab or kilo scale process with a focus on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.Installs and runs lab and kilo-scale equipment (pumps, reactors, valves, filters, crystallizers, evaporators etc.) to demonstrate novel chemistries and validate concepts.Continually looks for opportunities to improve the workflow and implements those ideas with minimal oversight.Assists scientists and researchers in troubleshooting and correcting process deficiencies for new product/process development.
Provides insights to others responsible for overall program implementation and commercialization. Delivers technology that will be used for scale-up and commercial implementation.
Responsibilities:- Review Production Batch Records and other manufacturing-related documents to verify compliance and record keeping for all mandated manufacturing processes, quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.- Audit quality control of raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and regulatory standards.- Review, revise, and create SOPs as needed- Assist in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support in order to meet product quality standards.- Act as QA reviewer for investigations, deviations, complaints, and CAPAs as designated by QA Management.
Qualifications:
- Hands on, comfortable on feet.
- Associates through Masters Degree - Chemistry specialty, Chemical Engineer/ Mechanical Engineer
- Comfortable working with chemicals (PPE provided)
- 2 years lab experience preferred
- Chemistry and Mechanical background preferred
