We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a company in the Franklin, WI area.
Pay: 26.00 to 30.00 an hour
Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Interviewed is required & resume.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for assisting the maintenance manager to ensure all production and peripheral equipment is in working order to ensure consistent production levels, peak efficiency, and quality product.
Specific Functions:
1. Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
2. Local sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
3. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts.
4. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools and other necessary devices.
5. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
6. Performs weekly DNR inspections and keeps proper reporting logs.
7. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, and/or President.
Knowledge and Abilities Required:
1. Strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings, use hand tools, etc.
2. High level of attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Education/Training Required: High School Diploma with some advanced courses in mathematics, maintenance, and engineering.
Experience Required: Three years experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a maintenance position.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift to 60 pounds on an occasional basis. Climbing, squatting, and bending are required in maintenance functions.
Work Environment: Exposure to chrome and nickel-plating solutions and to other chemical and hazardous waste materials, as well as variations in temperature.
Protective Equipment Needed: Safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and appropriate protective gloves. At times may need protective clothing, protective boots, masks, and/or protective goggles or shields. May need earplugs and dust masks on occasion.
