Job Summary:

The Receiving Team Lead will oversee the incoming, storage, outgoing and transportation of all material and responsible for handling all material in and out of the inspection process and deliveries to our customers

Shift: 7am -3:30pm (M-F)

Pay: $18- $21/hr

Benefits: 401K, PTO, Medical

Essential Duties:

  • Provide shipping/receiving support for the team.
  • Inspect and accept incoming deliveries.
  • Perform SAP transactions for Receiving incoming material.
  • Utilize SharePoint to perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to Domestic shipping, reporting receiving issues, and accessing document libraries.
  • Help to set up material trackers
  • Replenish dock supply levels as needed.
  • Liaison between dock personnel and customers
  • Maintain and help to support 5S responsibilities.
  • Quick response to customer’s needs
  • Inspect PIT equipment daily as necessary.
  • Confirm team members work in a safe manner and abide by company guidelines.
  • Ensure all team members are using proper lifting techniques as instructed by management.
  • Review shipping requests to process outgoing shipments.
  • Examine procedures and recommends changes to save time, labor, and other costs and to improve quality control and operating efficiency.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Inspect and audit loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping expectations.
  • Participate in coaching, training, development, and discipline of team members.
  • Communicates effectively with subordinates and leaders to ensure clear, concise, and accurate information is being provided on shipment distribution.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions on production, safety and quality as required.
  • Report any safety hazards or on the job injuries, no matter how slight to Supervisor.
  • Operate a golf cart to accept and inspect incoming shipments at remote locations on campus

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a shipping/receiving or logistics environment.
  • Knowledgeable of information and techniques needed to complete all shipping/receiving, and distribution processes.
  • Computer skills and knowledge.
  • Requires forklift experience is a plus
  • Able to interface with individuals with diverse backgrounds at varying levels of the organization.
  • Able to train and motivate department personnel.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Able to drive a golf cart on campus

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand up to 90% of the time
  • Lift up to 50lbs
