!! URGENT NEED FOR A PSYCH RN AUBURN, NY !!

A facility in Auburn, NY is looking for a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN). New York State (NYS) RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Minimum 2 years experience. Travel experience preferred. NIHSS certification required at time of submission. Crisis Intervention Training required. Facility has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts at no cost during the duration of the 13-week assignment.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

• 13-week assignment
• Start Date : 2/19/2024
• Unit: Psych
• Schedule: Nights 07:00 PM-07:30 AM | If a pushback is needed, the bill rate will be decreased by $10.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 2 years of recent & relevant experience as an Psych RN
• Auburn, NY Psych RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• NIHSS certification
• Crisis Intervention Training

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gauging patients' psychiatric states.
• Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
• Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
• Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
• Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
• Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
• Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
• Conducting targeted psycho education, particularly within families.
