One Community Health is Hiring a Clinical Referral Coordinator- (Medical or Dental Assistant) Near The Dalles, OR

Looking for a way to help patients? Interested in assisting patients in ways other than providing clinical care? Our referrals team is the liaison between our patients and any outside services that their provider refers them to including many types of specialty care. By facilitating the referral process our Clinical Referral Coordinators help patients access care they need by working with local specialty offices and clinics to ensure the needed information is provided so patients can make appointments and get the care they need.
The Clinical Referral Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support to medical, dental, and behavioral health teams. General duties include patient communication (by fax, telephone, and/or computer), referral processing and tracking, insurance verification and coverage, information gathering, and assistance with special services such as Medication Assistant Program (MAP).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Dental Assistant Certification (with X-ray Certification)
  • Able to communicate in person, in writing, and by phone with sensitivity demonstrating respect and professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook, Epic EHR, and EPM Systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Able to inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
  • Medical/dental referral processing experience
  • Experience working with low income, multi-ethnic populations

Compensation
  • Hourly/Non-Exempt: Starting at $21.00 per hour
  • Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
