ONE HEALTH is Hiring a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner Near Sheridan, WY

Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Sheridan, Wyoming area. This position will be 1/2 in-person appointments in the Whitney Building clinic and 1/2 telehealth / remote visits for WY and MT.

***Signing Bonus $15,000***

One Health is seeking a full-time, non-physician Medical Provider for our clinic site at the Whitney Building in Sheridan, Wyoming

As a Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) licensed to practice in Wyoming (and after hire, Montana), you'll assist in the coordination of comprehensive health care needs of the specific patient population and provides appropriate direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of specific conditions. The PA/NP provides medical and clinical support and direct services to these identified patients. The PA/NP may also serve as part of a consulting team with constant and effective communication to management and direct care staff regarding clinical policies and procedures.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $116,968 - $120,327/year, DOE or $103,351/year for new grads

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certificates/Licenses:

Required

  • Licensed in Wyoming as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner (will be expected to obtain Montana licensure after hire)
  • Registered or registry eligible with the federal DEA
  • Valid driver’s license

Experience:

Preferred

  • Demonstrated mastery of a specialty area or other related field normally acquired by three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible clinical experience
  • Dual licensure in Wyoming and Montana

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team in caring for patients.
  2. Provides comprehensive, high quality primary, episodic and/or recuperative care.
  3. Elicits an appropriate history, performs physical examinations, orders diagnostic studies, interprets results, and initiates therapy in accordance with accepted standards and guidelines.
  4. Refers patients as appropriate to medical specialists, hospital admission, recuperative care, or detox facilities, providing appropriate information for continuity of care.

  9. Participates in peer education by presenting information in areas of interest and expertise when applicable.
  10. Participates in the teaching (formal and informal) of nurse practitioner and physician assistant students.
  11. Participates and contributes to department, general staff, discipline specific, and committee meetings.
  12. Maintains and enhances professional knowledge by attending continuing medical education (CME) conferences, educational programs, and seminars according to licensure requirements and to maintain the highest level of clinical competence.
  13. Participates in quality assurance activities.
  14. Participates in Health Disparities Collaboratives (HDC) (i.e. diabetes, depression).
  15. Maintains adequate, up-to-date medical records, completed in a timely manner, according to the One Health guidelines, and employing standards such as formatted in eHR.
  16. Maintains active drug enforcement agency (DEA) and professional license, hospital privileges (as indicated), managed care credentialing and BLS training.
  17. Displays concern and initiative.
  18. Cooperates and maintains good rapport with medical staff, nursing staff, other departments, patients, and visitors.
  19. Adheres to all One Health Policies and Procedures.
  20. Participates in performance optimization and risk management activities as required.
  21. Cooperates and abides by all elements of One Health’s Compliance Program.
  22. Provides exceptional customer service and models the mission of One Health when interacting with internal and external stakeholders promoting a positive image for the health center.

23. Performs other duties as assigned or required with or without prior notification.
