We are currently seeking a Claims Team Manager to manage a team of adjusters handling Commercial Auto Liability claims, General Liability claims and litigation in our Dallas, Texas office. This position would manage Commercial Auto Liability and General Liability exposures for IRM captive and self- insured programs, working in concert with adjusting staff, Claims Director, and in-house litigation counsel. Oversee the investigation, defense, and coverage analysis and resolve commercial automobile and general liability claims to achieve accurate outcomes while managing duties and communications with policyholders, captive members, clients, reinsurance carriers and IRM. Your Impact: Exercise proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claims exposure, to determine the proper course of action and to appropriately defend or settle the claim. Oversee the direct handling of claims including reserving, communication, documentation, litigation management, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement. Implement proactive claims and litigation management strategy to arrive at the most cost-efficient outcome while managing defense counsel, adjusting staff to meet obligations to policyholders, clients and carriers. Ensure claim processing is consistent with applicable policies, procedures, and department guidelines. Review and analyzes processes, procedures, and workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Successful Candidate Will Have: Ideal candidate will have 8 years or more of proven experience managing claims at a TPA or insurance carrier, with TPA program management experience a plus. Thorough understanding of laws, principles of coverage, liability, and insurance industry in general. Analytical and human relations skills are critical. Leadership skills: ability to plan, organize, delegate, and develop adjuster skills and abilities. Effective communication skills: ability to obtain information from others and deliver information to others orally and in written form.
