We are looking for an experienced Shipping Lead for a great manufacturer and distributor of door locks, padlocks, lighting, and Keeper Corporation automotive products.located in Foothill Ranch, CA.

Shipping Lead Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates department activity for assigned area(s) with Shipping Supervisor, ensuring that product is continuously processed in accordance with customer routing guides.
• Ensures the accurate utilization of employees based on the requirements of each order.
• Assigns and prioritizes work.
• Tracks performance of orders being picked and ensures proper completion.
• Communicates work instructions to employees in designated area(s), in accordance with supervisors’ guidance.
• When appropriate, participates in picking, packing, and labeling to customer specifications.
• Works with the WMS system to create reports, confirm product quantity and location, cycle count product, convert product configuration, transfer product and tracks order progress.
• Creates / reviews customer instructions.
• Provides training and feedback to employees to ensure consistency of processing, pace, and functions.
• Communicates with other departments about status on completion of urgent orders.
• Coordinates with maintenance department to ensure that equipment repair needs are timely met.
• Ensures daily attendance sheets are accurate. Reports tardiness and attendance issues to the shipping supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years minimum experience in warehouse or related field.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Must have the ability to read comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Must have ability to write simple correspondence and can communicate effectively in English one on one and small group situations with customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Must be able to accurately keep track of counted items.
• Must be able to identify objects and their corresponding place on printed forms such as invoices.
• Knowledge of the Internet, WMS systems, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing.
• Software, and the UPS and FEDEX programs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills desired.

Payrate- $23.50/hr.

1st shift (6 am to 2:30 pm)
