Description

Oneida Health is currently seeking a Full-time Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department on all human resources matters. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully work as part of a team while demonstrating a strong desire to establish relationships in an organization dedicated to quality and experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Provide responsible clerical and administrative support to the HR department; compose and type letters, memoranda, and other correspondence related to assigned HR programs and activities; prepare a variety of reports, including technical reports and status reports pertaining to HR management programs and activities.
  • Provide customer service, both in person and by telephone/email; screen and direct telephone calls; take and relay messages; answer questions from employees and the general public regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations relating to HR management; respond to employment verification requests, salary and benefit surveys, and other requests for information.
  • Assist in administration of compensation program; helps to monitor performance appraisal process; assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
  • Arrange for advertising and posting of job vacancies on OH’s web site.
  • Participate in the recruitment process by reviewing employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants and refer them to hiring personnel.
  • Inform internal/external job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
  • Conducts new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; submits online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks; verifies I-9 documentation and maintains current records; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from database as needed; updates various HR spreadsheets with employee changes and processes paperwork.
  • Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Processes personnel action forms and maintains personnel records to ensure timely performance evaluations and appropriate actions. 
  • Completes quarterly audit of all health insurance plans.
  • Regularly assists with employee events and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Your Essential Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Associate’s Degree in Administration or related discipline (Preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Experience:
    • Clerical/Administrative: 3 years (Required)
    • Human Resources: 2 years (Required) or equivalent combination of education and experience
