Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is required to perform tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds, installation, maintenance, maintaining and repairing of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical and electrical systems on all production machines, equipment and building.
May be required to perform purchasing and inventory of maintenance parts & supplies and successfully negotiate and interact with suppliers, customers, manufacturers and internal department personnel.
The incumbent is expected to be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently and follow standards for safety and conduct.
This is the third level position title within this series. Employees at this level are expected to have developed a trade of expertise for machine maintenance and production equipment repairs;
installs, maintains and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical and electrical systems on all production equipment and works independently in the performance of standard maintenance and repairs.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE (preferred)
Associates Degree in technical field or 5 years of related Experience
SUCCESSFUL SKILLS
Intermediate math skills
Reading skills to read both hydraulic and electrical schematics
Good hand and eye coordination
Ability to use computer software, measuring tools, and hand / power tools
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Fully understand electrical schematics, ladder logic and be able to hook up to the machine PLC to read and modify where needed (Only Maintenance electrician)
Be able to trouble shoot all equipment fully understanding the machines principals
Able to assist and help train any new hires
Follow all safety procedures being an example to others
JOB ENTRY REQUIREMENTS :
Pass pre-employment drug screen
Pass background screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
All Factors are continuous throughout a 12 hour shift. 7AM- 7PM OR 7PM- 7AM
Lifting at least 50lbs
Reaching overhead, Stooping, Bending and Twisting
Standing on Concrete
POSITION AND TIME REQUIREMENTS :
Have good communication skills to understand work instructions in English.
Cooperative / positive outlook toward work, professional communication
Flexible work schedule; can work overtime and attend after hour meetings
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts as determined
