OneTen is Hiring an AVP, Platform Portfolio Analyst Near Stamford, CT

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

This critical finance role supports the Platform Finance teams primarily responsible for providing support to the Auto, Home Specialty, and Flooring portfolios and providing secondary support to the Sam’s Club portfolio. This position will work closely with the portfolio Finance Managers to deliver every day for our clients, and will coordinate and work with multiple teams (Client teams, Forecasting, Platform FP&A, Platform Support).

We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with platform Finance Managers on client-related deliverables: financial projections, contractual reporting, operating reviews, invoices & payments, ad hoc

  • Partner with the cross-functional support team to drive the portfolio growth strategy, support innovation efforts, and provide appropriate leadership to ensure mutually-beneficial outcomes for SYF and our clients

  • Support client teams in developing drivers for short & long-range forecasts

  • Support deal pricing by working directly with the Finance Managers and the Pricing COE to help sign new deals and renew existing clients

  • Assist with the evaluation and tracking of contractual and non-contractual funds and provide analysis to business team detailing effectiveness of those funding campaigns

  • Support monthly & quarterly client accruals and payments

  • Integrate with and provide regular finance updates for both internal & external client teams

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related business field or in lieu of degree, 7 years equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or similar discipline

  • Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Oracle Hyperion

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification

  • Experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A)

  • Experience handling external vendor or client requests

  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally

  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

  • Financial services industry experience

  • Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and deliver results timely

  • Ability to lead projects and assignments

  • Demonstrate experience analyzing business data with the ability to distill large amounts of information down to the critical areas of focus

  • Ability to create and deliver business presentations and communicate effectively

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
