Key Responsibilities:

The Inside Sales Representative - Cargo Sales (ISR) will manage inside sales responsibility for both assigned and unassigned accounts by assisting customers with all sales needs including: bookings, rate quotes, pricing, road feeder service and interacting with operations.

Must be an enthusiastic, self-starter, solution oriented team member with a strong interest and aptitude to learn and grow with United Cargo.

This opportunity is based at our IAD Airport offices and is considered hybrid, averaging two days in office per week.
  • Serves as primary contact for their assigned account portfolio
  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding regional cargo sales revenue and contribution goals.
  • Assists in identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • maintains an account portfolio
  • Understands their customer needs such as transit time, special handling, rate, etc.
  • Determines the product and logistics solution that best meets customer need
  • Negotiates rate/space agreements, always seeking to offer best options
  • Seeks to increase cargo sales volume of assigned accounts
  • Works closely with Cargo Operations to maximize sales/network potential
  • Conducts daily flight "firming" for critical/key international and domestic flights
  • Manages allotments in Cargo system
  • Computer literate ensures accurate and compliant record keeping in designated systems. (i.e. Utilizes Salesforce.com for account information, documentation and opportunities
  • Promotes emerging technology such as online bookings

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent required
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 2 years sales experience with direct customer contact required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience preferred
  • 1 or more years of Cargo customer service experience preferred
  • SalesForce.com and UC360 (SkyChain) experience
  • Knowledge of cargo sales/freight forwarding industry, logistics or operations
