What you’ll be doing...
Verizon Corporate Security Executive Protection personnel are responsible for providing executive protection, driving, and logistics support, as needed when the Principal travels both domestically and internationally. In this role you will be ensuring the safety and security of the Principal(s) and serving as an advisor regarding travel, safety, and logistics. Domestic travel, international travel, and 24/7 availability are required.
Coordinating contingency plans and emergency medical response for security incidents at the residence(s) and in the field.
Conducting security and threat assessment audits of the property and recommending improvement for on-site security measures.
Maintaining physical readiness to respond to reasonably anticipated security threats.
Participating in recurring protective operations training to include, but not limited to firearms, tactics, driving, and medical training.
Demonstrating exceptional results in a close protection (field security) role, including managing logistics, advance operations, secure transportation, and managing security at public appearance venues.
Exercising sound operational judgment, as well as flexibility to shift priorities and challenges.
Maintaining communication with the Principal(s) regarding all aspects of protective operation processes.
Collaborating with Corporate Security and related teams to ensure the timely exchange of information regarding schedules, threats, travel, and administrative requirements.
Maintaining operational proficiency for all equipment used in support of the protective operations program (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices).
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Military or Law enforcement experience.
Current US Passport and license or appropriate state credentialing.
Experience in risk management identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to the Principals.
Complete and meet company standards for background and reference checks, drug testing, and behavioral selection surveys.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree.
Acute attention to detail, professional, and highly developed interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent judgment, decision-making, time management, and prioritizing skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to various work environments while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy.
Exercise sound operational judgment, as well as flexibility to shift priorities and challenges.
Active security level clearance or ability to reinstate.
Current HR 218 certification.
Current EMT or BLS certification.
Federal/State Law Enforcement experience.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $105,000.00 and $194,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.Full Time
